The formula

GL    = GI × (carbs − fiber) ÷ 100
Score = 100 − 2.2·GL − 0.8·sugar
        − 8·processing + 1.6·fiber
        + 0.7·protein

Amounts are per serving, in grams; processing is 0–3. GL is rounded to a whole number and the score is kept within 1–100. Bands: 80+ Excellent, 60+ Good, 40+ Moderate, 20+ Poor, below 20 Avoid.
