App support
FatTonic for Android puts the Food Index, the Metabolic Score and meal-time nudges on your phone. It is free, has no account and shows no ads. Questions not answered here: hello@jukkablomberg.com.
Install
From Google Play, on Android 7.0 (API 24) or newer. The app is about 25 MB and needs no sign-in.
The Food Index offline
The whole index — every food and its FatTonic Facts panel — is bundled with the app, so it works in airplane mode. When you are online the app refreshes from this site's published export and keeps the last copy; the line under the category chips says which copy you are looking at.
The Metabolic Score and History
The Score tab is the same eight-question assessment as the one on this site. Each result is saved to the History tab on your phone with its date; nothing is uploaded. To start over, use Clear history on that tab.
Nudges
Switch Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner on and set the time with the − and + controls. Android asks for notification permission the first time; if you declined, allow notifications for FatTonic in Settings → Apps → FatTonic → Notifications, then switch the nudge on again. Each nudge is a daily local notification; switching it off removes it.
Erasing your data
Everything the app keeps is on your phone: uninstall the app, or clear its storage in Android settings. See app privacy for the full list.
