FatTonic for Android · package com.fattonic.app · updated 2026-10-01

The FatTonic app for Android (package com.fattonic.app) is published by NorthPoint Marketing Solutions Oy, Lapinlahdenkatu 16, 00180 Helsinki, Finland, under the FatTonic brand. It has no account, no sign-up, no advertising, no analytics and no in-app purchase.

What leaves your device

The app makes one kind of request: an HTTPS GET to fattonic.com only, for the published Food Index export (/data/export/foods.json), when the app opens and when you pull to refresh. The request carries no identifier, token or user data. Like any web request it reaches our hosting provider (Vercel), whose standard server logs record the requesting IP address for a short period for security and operations. Nothing else is transmitted — not your answers, not your scores, not your reminder times.

What stays on your device

The last copy of the Food Index, your meal-time nudge switches and times, and your Metabolic Score history (date, score, driver profile and the eight answers). All of it lives in the app's own storage on your phone. Uninstalling the app, clearing its storage in Android settings, or the Clear button on the History screen erases it. There is nothing to request deletion of, because nothing is held anywhere else. The app has no email form; the one on this website is separate and optional.

Notifications

Nudges are daily reminders scheduled by the app on your phone and shown as local notifications. There is no push server and no device token is created or sent. Android asks for notification permission only when you switch a nudge on; switching every nudge off removes every schedule.

Permissions

Internet (to refresh the index), notifications (if you switch a nudge on), and the boot-completed permission Android grants so a daily nudge survives a restart. No location, contacts, camera, microphone, storage, health data or identifiers.

Health information

The app shows the FatTonic Score — an educational rating built from glycemic load, sugar, processing, fiber and protein — and a lifestyle questionnaire. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Talk to a qualified professional before changing your diet, especially if you have diabetes or take medication.
